History

Apostle Nix Sithole is the founder and President of the Oasis of Life Family Church in Ekurhuleni with its head office in Benoni Daveyton.

Apostle Sithole had his first encounter with the Lord in 1970, where he gave his life to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. On the 24th of March 1981 as a local pastor, he received a call and confirmation through a vision to become an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ and to love God’s people on behalf of God.

It was in 1992, during the time that the townships were encompassed by violence that culminated in the loss of his firstborn son, who disappeared without any trace. As a father he went looking in hospitals, police stations and morgues. It was during this time that he had an encounter with God and experienced the fullness of God’s vision concerning the church. The scripture committed to him was:

Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law – Romans 13:8

Therefore Oasis of Life Family Church as an embassy developed to become a home for Kingdom of God where people from different communities, nations and countries would come and drink and be never thirsty again. It is also where families’ members and individuals are being equipped in building their own families in love and to extend this to their neighbours and the entire community, which includes people who perceive them as enemies.

The greatest challenge is for each person to learn to cater for different needs and to identify the correct and the relevant resources deposited in them to become leaders in order to fulfil this great task: “Walking in the love of God is walking in God himself”.

Jesus said, “Therefore by their fruits you shall know them – Matthew 7:2

The verb “to know” in this passage comes from the Greek word “epiginosko”, Vine expository dictionary explains the verb to know as epiginosko.
